Hear Me Out

Are you 18-25 years old? Do you live in or near to London? Are you looking to gain free experience and access to paid work placements in the music industries?

Hear Me Out and Generation Uncovered are working together at Rising Tide, with funding from Youth Music, to offer free workshops for young people. In the workshops, you will learn music-making skills from experienced artists and gain access to paid Kickstart job placements in the creative and cultural industries.

WHAT THE WORKSHOPS WILL INVOLVE

- Learn to make and record soundtracks

- Make radio

- Work with experienced artists from Hear Me Out and Generation Uncovered

- Learn about music making in Immigration Detention Centres

- Have your tracks included on DIY Radio (a remote radio station sent to thousands of people currently in immigration detention)

- Perform at the Kickstart Job Fest at The National Youth Theatre

- Get access to hundreds of paid Kickstart six month job placements with top London creative businesses including Soho Theatre, Clock Your Skills, Neko Trust, Generation Uncovered, Boost-ed, Collage Works and more

WHEN

Workshops

- Friday 10th September at 6pm-10pm

- Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th September at 11am-5pm

- Friday 17th September at 6pm-10pm

- Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th September at 11am-5pm

Rehearsals and Performance

Rehearsals: Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd September (6pm-10pm)

Performance: Thursday 23rd September at 12pm

WHERE

The workshops will be held at Rising Tide at 270 Mare Street, London E8 1HE.

The performance will be held at The National Youth Theatre at 443-445 Holloway Road, London N7 6LW.
